Senboku District, Akita
Senboku (仙北郡, Senboku-gun?) is a district located in Akita, Japan. In 2005, the district has an estimated population of 23,757 and a density of 141.58 persons per km². The total area is 167.80 km².
Towns and villages
Mergers
- On November 1, 2004 the towns Rokugō and Senhata and the village Sennan merged, forming the new town Misato.
- On March 22, 2005, the towns of Kamioka, Nishisenboku, Nakasen, Kyōwa, Semboku, Ōta, and the village of Nangai merged with the city of Ōmagari to form the new city of Daisen
- On September 20, 2005, the towns of Kakunodate, Tazawako and the village of Nishiki merged to form the new city of Semboku
